Establish proof-positive identity
The first step in a successful Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategy
is establishing proof-positive user identity. IAM addresses the challenges
organizations face in providing anytime, anywhere access to applications,
data, and network resources for every person accessing their network—from
employees and administrators to business partners, customers, and contract
workers.
In today's regulatory environment, a company must protect and manage access
to corporate data and mission-critical applications. SafeWord® strong authentication
solutions allow you to easily and cost-effectively identify your users and
protect access to your trusted network resources.
Access begins with identity
The vulnerabilities of traditional static passwords are well-documented, and
passwords have been proven to be inadequate as an identity credential. SafeWord
tokens provide strong authentication in the form of a highly secure passcode
system to use in place of passwords you use today.
SafeWord tokens are small handheld devices that generate a different passcode
for every login. Each passcode can be used only once. To log on to the network,
the user simply pushes the token button to get a new passcode. It's that simple
to positively establish your user identity.
Access to your network begins with proof of user identity. SafeWord is an
easy to use and highly secure solution that authenticates users when they access
your trusted network and applications.
Two distinct SafeWord solutions
- SafeWord® RemoteAccess™ is a simple, easy-to-use solution
that provides strong authentication for remote access in Microsoft environments
using Active Directory. RemoteAccess secures connections to VPNs, RADIUS
devices, Citrix applications, and Outlook Web Access.
- SafeWord® PremierAccess® 4.0 includes all the capabilities
of RemoteAccess, plus authentication support for Windows Domain and Terminal
Services logins. Customers can upgrade quickly and easily to PremierAccess
to extend strong authentication to both remote and internal users.

Enterprise Solution Pack (ESP) for PremierAccess is
an add-on package to PremierAccess that extends strong authentication
to additional applications, such as UNIX login, Web servers, and
Web applications, as well as provides advanced RADIUS server capabilities.
Software development kits are available to customize any aspect of
PremierAccess. ESP also includes the following capabilities:
- Advanced user management, including an integrated user repository
with a standalone management console that does not require
Active Directory.
- Powerful reporting functionality to give you complete visibility
into all authentication events.
- Rich access control with granular authorization and personalized
content based on a user's role or relationship within the organization.
- Web-based user self-enrollment that can relieve the administrative
burden of rolling out large numbers of tokens.
- Choice of authentication form factors:
