SurfControl Report Central
SurfControl Report Central is the Web based reporting tool included with the SurfControl Web Filter.
- Included Reports: Report Central contains over 60 reports, and unlimited
customized reports, that can help you analyze Internet activity over the
network by user, group, category and more. These reports are grouped into
four categories:
- Quick Reports show top 10 users, sites, categories and other data in
bar charts so that you can see overall summaries of Internet activity.
- Summary reports show a wide range of Internet usage statistics. They
differ from the quick reports in that they allow you to specify how many
results to show, from Top 5 to Top 100 and beyond. These reports
generally use a table format to display the results.
- Comparison reports look at usage by time, category or department.
These reports use a range of charts and tables to display results so
that you can detect usage patterns.
- Detail reports enable you to drill down and look at detailed
information on specific users or sites. Use these reports to explore
specific activity based on the results of the Quick, Summary or
Comparison reports.

- Formats - Reports can be generated in multiple formats including PDF,
HTML, MS Word and others.
- Scheduling and Distribution - Reports may be scheduled for automatic
creation and distribution via e-mail.
- Authenticated Access Control to Reports: SurfControl Report Central
provides granular access control. Administrators can limit users reporting
priveleges to specific administrator specified reports. This enables an
administrator to share the responsibility of reporting in a way that matches
their organization's management structure and privacy concerns.
User and Site Monitor SurfControl's User and Site Monitor lets you quickly see who is going where and the category of the site without the need to run a report. From here you are quickly able to view Internet activity and administer users and sites with many 'single-click' operations for changing settings such as user, group and the category of a site.
- Detailed multi-level parameters including page, category allow/deny pages, and user.
- Sorting and filtering are supported on all of the data fields included in the SurfControl Monitor allowing for quick isolation of the specific data you are looking for.
- Drill down capabilities make it possible to quickly access additional details about users and site activities.
SurfControl Real Time Monitor
The powerful Real-time Monitor keeps you informed of your network traffic, at all times. Color-coding the categories helps you to quickly identify website categories and network traffic as it happens to identify problematic surfing.
